Stainless steel ears peirced for spiked gauges

If I'm getting my ears peirced for spiked gauges do I have to wear "stainless steel" earings after? or gauges?



I want to get my ears peirced for Spiked gauges like these

So when I get them peirced do I have to wear regular earings after peircing them or can i just go straight to the gauges like those?
any other info on how to get them peirced for the spikes would be greatly appriciated, thanks!
