How do we get back the shine of stainless steel articles?

I have many stainless steel articles in my house that are quiet old. They have lost their shine and look dull. I need some advice as to how I can get them back in their original form.

You can mix lemon juice and salt, and rub the stainless steel articles with the mixture, that will make them shiny.
