Do you think there could be lead, or amalgam in my braces they're made of "stainless steel" which actually is ?

Stainless steel could be anything, and I'm worried that there might be lead of Amalgam, if it is a mixture, or an alloy ?

Stainless steel is simply steel with a harmless amount of chromium oxide. They are perfectly harmless and DO NOT contain lead or Amalgam. Learn to trust your orthodontist. He/she wouldn't put anything in your mouth that he/she wouldn't put in his/her own mouth.
